Congratulations! Celebrating 15 Years of Dopper’s Mission for Water and Sustainability

Members' News

As a proud member of our Chamber of Commerce, Dopper marks an extraordinary milestone: 15 years of transforming a bold movement into a global mission for sustainable water use. From its founding by Merijn Everaarts in the Netherlands, Dopper was never “just a bottle,” but a symbol of change empowering people everywhere to choose refill over single-use, drastically reducing plastic pollution.

Over the past decade and a half, Dopper’s impact speaks volumes:

w

  • Prevented over 5.1 billion single-use bottles and 127 million kilos of plastic from polluting our environment.

  • Supported access to safe drinking water for more than 190,000 people in Nepal—every bottle sold contributing to global water projects.

  • Every Dopper bottle replaces an estimated 104 disposable ones per year.

  • The Dopper Original is the world’s first Cradle to Cradle Certified® Gold reusable bottle, setting the standard for circular, responsible design.

  • The production relies 100% on renewable energy, with zero direct emissions.

  • Over 130,000 refill stations across Europe mapped, boosting refilling as a habit.

  • Dopper products inspire behaviour change and are embedded in European festivals, organizations, and even the European Parliament to champion the shift away from single-use plastics.

  • For a decade, Dopper remains a certified B Corp, blending environmental and social goals at the highest corporate standards.

  • The company also invests directly in education, awareness campaigns, and innovative projects for circularity, such as Digital Product Passports and Take-Back programs.

Our Chamber congratulates Merijn Everaarts and the entire Dopper community, whose mission continues to inspire a wave of sustainable action. Their story proves that with collective effort, every refill truly matters—and the journey is far from over. Let’s keep supporting initiatives for a future with clean, accessible water for all, and an end to single-use plastics
