Empowering Women in Business
What if gender equality in business were not merely an aspiration, but a reality—beginning today? This was the central theme of the "State of Women in Business" event, hosted by the Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie des Pays-Bas en France (NFCC) in partnership with Booking.com.
The evening featured distinguished speakers who provided valuable perspectives on advancing women’s leadership in business:
Vanessa Heydorff, Managing Director France at Booking.com, highlighted the company’s concrete initiatives to empower women in the workforce and promote gender equality throughout the organisation, offering a compelling call to action for the broader business community.
Fianna Jurdant, Senior Policy Analyst at OECD, presented the latest global trends and policy developments supporting women in leadership and corporate governance, with specific insights into the situation in France and the Netherlands.
Virginia Yanquilevich, CEO of Dopper, shared practical examples of how her company integrates gender equality into its business strategy, championing workplace inclusion and supporting women worldwide through access to clean drinking water.
Mascha Wismans, Business Director at NFCC, reaffirmed the Chamber’s commitment to female entrepreneurship and described ongoing efforts to foster an environment where women entrepreneurs can thrive.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all speakers for their insightful contributions, which underscored that gender equality is not simply a compliance matter but a vital driver of business success, sustainability, and innovation.
We also wish to thank Antoinet Van Dalen and the Fire_side team for their generous sponsorship, as well as Alexis Darmois, Maïtha Lefevre (Booking.com), Ghalia ZEBIRI, and Noor Kleijweg for their roles in organising and moderating the event.
We invite organisations to share the concrete steps they are taking to promote female entrepreneurship and gender equality, as we continue working together toward a more inclusive future.
